I finally started reading 50 shades, encouraged by a coworker (it’s a small family office… Dont ask).
So far so good, i do like the book, except for one small issue where the Dom says that he thought the shy, clumsy girl was a natural-born submissive. I think that any good Dom knows that strong women make the best submissives. That’s what I’ve heard, anyway.
The other noteworthy thing that’s happened since i began reading the book is that, during the course of a rather quick and modest conversation about said book, the aforementioned colleague said:
“she stops being his submissive. He is sill her Dom, but they do what she wants”.
Woah wait. “That’s how it’s SUPPOSED to go, in any such relationship”, I said.
The conversation was mercifully cut short by calls to lunchtime and I say “mercifully” bc had I kept taking I’m sure she would’ve asked me how come I know so much. (“I read it somewhere”).
Granted, Doms are supposed to push your limits… but with clear rules I place. I feel like I should tell her about D/s parameters, should she ever find herself with a selfish unscrupulous Dom. !!
